In Norse mythology, Mímir guards the well of all wisdom: a place where knowledge is earned, never given. It is from this ancient source that MIMIR takes its name and its ethos.
Founded in 2025 by Norwegian designer Alexander Varner, MIMIR was born from his refusal to accept the fleeting, the excessive and the forgettable as the standard for contemporary menswear.
Alexander, shaped by the resilience and craftsmanship embedded in Nordic culture, set out to create something that operated by a different logic entirely: garments conceived, not simply designed.
Every seam has a reason.
Every material is chosen for how it feels against the skin, how it responds to light and how it evolves with the years. All fabrics and materials are selected for their longevity, not their novelty.
The first collection, The Awakening, was presented at Milan Fashion Week SS26.
It introduced a design language rooted in bold minimalism, clean architectural lines and ancient Nordic symbolism: where runes, mythology and the natural world converge with the structural precision of metabolist architecture.
MIMIR is for those who understand that true confidence needs no embellishment. That a garment, like wisdom, becomes most powerful when it is lived in, earned and made entirely your own.
